Cold weather makes us want to stay home more than ever, specially if it’s warm and cozy. It’s not a coincidence that Scandinavian people have such beautifully decorated homes. We’ll follow their example to use the cold as an excuse to create a comfier home, starting by our table.
To combine, or not to combine, that is the question
When deciding the elements that will be in our table, we have many options. We can decide to match them so they create a certain atmosphere, mostly through colors. On the other hand, we can also mix them in a bolder way, choosing shapes and colors that contrast.
Hidraulik‘s tablemats and table runners are perfect for combining with the table’s other objects. The designs with neutral colors match with almost anything and the most colorful models allow us to combine them with different color schemes.
Every detail counts
A table can be set and decorated with a ton of different objects. Choosing which ones will be part of ours is also an important decision. We can opt for tablemats, tablecloths or table runners; the napkins can have rings or not; we can add vases, plants, flowers… the options are endless. Once we’ve decided all this, we’ll have to select each element, either as a collection (a cutlery set, for instance) or one by one to give the space a more eclectic vibe.
The central piece
A centerpiece can help us turn a plain table into an elegant one in no time. We can make it ourselves and change it according to seasons, events and our convenience. It’s a great way of making a table more original without investing too much in it and without compromising ourselves with a style that’s too definitive. For example, if we’ve chosen a neutral flatware that we can use on any occasion, all year round, we can add personality to the table with a centerpiece… and change it as often as we feel like it.
