It’s almost Christmas and along with the holidays comes the enthusiasm to decorate our home, whether it’s for our friends and family or just for ourselves. But with this excitement usually comes a slight fear due to all the work we’ll have to put into the decorating and all the money we’ll have to spend on it. That’s why we want to tell you: don’t worry! The holidays don’t necessarily have to be expensive or old-fashioned. We can make our own Christmas decorations with easy DIY projects that will turn a regular house into a winter wonderland.
Decorating the meeting point of every Christmas celebration
One of the busiest rooms during Christmas is the dining room. These days are full of lunches, dinners and different kinds of meals and in all of them the table is a central element on which to leave the food waiting to be consumed. If you want your table to be unique or even change its decoration between meals, we’ll give you some ideas to easily and economically customize it. We can place unique details for our guests, such as beautifully made cards with their name on them or other small presents. On the other hand, a festive centerpiece is always a safe bet.
The king of Christmas
If we had to pick a Christmas element we’d choose the Christmas tree anytime. It can be big or small, natural or plastic, elaborated or minimal… it doesn’t matter what it’s like but we can’t conceive the holidays without a beautiful tree. An option we’ve been seeing more and more often is making your own tree decorations. Thanks to online tutorials we can learn how to make colorful crystal balls or painted wooden decorations. And, if you want to take your DIY game a step further, you can also create your own Christmas tree inspired by some of these ideas.
Christmas is all around
Maybe it’s just us but as soon as December is here we have the imperious need to decorate everything to make it look more Christmassy. It doesn’t matter if your place is big or small, there are decorations for every taste and every budget, you just have to make them yourself. We particularly love these wooden decorations and these lovely origami trees, even though we can’t resist these snowmen made with bottle caps.
