Description

Berlin+ table protector is inspired by the first period of the Bauhaus school, the school of architecture, design, arts & crafts founded in1919 by Walter Gropius.

The Bauhaus was forced to close down in 1933 due to pressure from the Nazi Party. This forced Ludwig Mies van der Rohe to relocate the Bauhaus to Berlin. The school took an old telephone factory for its headquarters but would only survive until April of that same year. The Nazis came to power with their blanket opposition to the modernity the school represented and this resulted in its definitive closure and Mies emigrated to the United States. From 1932 to 1933.
